How we collect your personal information

We collect your personal information either via forms you submit on our website ( or via communications to LHP by you; including by e-mail, telephone call or by letter.


What we collect

When you request a cost estimate for our services or instruct LHP to provide shorthand writing services, to undertake transcription work, daily transcription services or videography services we may collect the following information:

  • name, company and job title;

  • contact information including email address;

  • full address and postcode;

  • other information relevant to assignments, including assignment contents and financial/transactional elements.

When you apply for a position with or work for LHP we may collect the following information:

  • name;

  • date of birth/age and contact information including email address;

  • full address and postcode;

  • socio-demographic information such as work history, nationality, education etc;

  • social relationships;

  • information supplied by yourself or third parties in relation to security checks on you;

  • transactional/pay information, and technical set up information;

  • special information that is not mandatory to be provided such as health data, gender, ethnicity, religious beliefs etc; and

  • other information relevant to job applications.


What we do with the personal information we gather

We initially require this information to contact you in response to the communications that you have sent to us.

Beyond any existing communications or services that you have requested from LHP, you will not be contacted by us, with the exception of any queries arising out of assignments or services that you have, or previously have, instructed LHP to provide. 

Your details may be required for the following reasons:

  • providing a service and fulfilling contracts;

  • internal record keeping;

  • we may use the information to improve our services;

  • contractual or legal obligations;



We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect.  However, we can't guarantee its security if submitted online.  By submitting information via our website you accept the associated risks of providing information online and will not hold us responsible for any breach of security.



We do not collect Cookies.


Google Analytics

When someone visits we use a third party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website.


Links to other websites

Our website may contain links to other websites of relevance or interest. However, once you have used these links to leave our site, you should note that we do not have any control over that other website. Therefore, we cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information which you provide whilst visiting such sites and such sites are not governed by this privacy statement.  From 25.05.2018 individuals have the following rights:

  • the right to erasure (‘the right to be forgotten’)

Retention of personal information

We only hold your personal information on our systems for the time required for us to fulfil the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy.

Whilst personal information will be deleted from the main systems, it may still be kept on restricted access back-up media for legal, tax or regulatory purposes.


Controlling your personal information

We do not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties unless we are required by contractual or legal obligations to do so.
